What started as a shunting puzzle expanded to become an end to end. There's a station with its one platform still open, a horrible CLASP style station building. A bus shelter provides passenger seating and the former down platform acts as a headshunt for incoming freight trains that use the inexplicably still open goods sidings.
Set somewhere on the Southern Region in the 1970s this layout aims to show suburban grot, depicting the back end of a run down small seaside town centre with the terminus of a truncated line being brought back from the brink of closure. Elderly 1st gen DMUs, DEMUs and the very occasional push-pull locomotive worked peak hour commuter trains handle the passenger service, working an off peak shuttle.
